The celebs who have had a brush with the law due to their reckless driving
They may be rich and famous, but celebrities aren’t above the law, and many of them have a long rap sheet of driving offences to their names.
From speeding to driving under the influence, celebrities get pulled up on driving offences all the time, but who are the worst offenders?
We’ve pulled together data on all the worst celebrity drivers, the offences they’ve been arrested for, and their punishment!
Not every celeb who gets caught breaking the rules of the road has to pay for their crimes, however - Nick Freeman aka ‘Mr Loophole’ is the solicitor responsible for getting many celebs out of fines and bans, unearthing technicalities that allow his clients to avoid being banned from the road, in many cases despite admitting to the offence.
By far the worst driver on our list is American rapper DMX, who has been arrested for 25 different driving offences, including driving under the influence, speeding, driving without a valid license and reckless endangerment.
British musician Pete Doherty came in second, who has been reprimanded at least 6 times for speeding and driving under the influence.

The most common driving offence was driving under the influence, with a shocking 44 celebs on our list being caught driving while intoxicated.
Speeding was a close second, with 31 celebrities caught putting their foot down, while 9 celebrities chose to ignore their licenses being suspended, and being caught in the act!

We compiled a list of celebrities who are known for their bad driving, from lists including the following:

We then used a combination of NNDB and news articles to find out exactly what driving crimes they have been arrested for.
Note that not all charges resulted in a conviction, and not all arrests are public knowledge. Please also note that some celebrities were arrested more than once for the same driving offence, however our most common offences are based on how many celebrities were arrested for that offence, and not the total count.
