The new Mercedes-Benz GLA class SUV is Mercedes' smallest SUV while offering the same premium luxury you'd find in any Mercedes but with a slightly higher ride and a bigger body than it's A-Class hatchback namesake. If you're looking for a compact crossover but luxury is non-negotiable then the GLA is the car to have. You can find the same premium engines in the GLA as with their other models; there is also a GLA45 performance model for the petrol heads out there. Why choose a Mercedes GLA class?

The GLA has a higher ride, more space inside and in a larger boot with a bigger body than an A-Class. The GLA class still retains more or less the same economy as the A-Class which makes it an attractive prospect for those with families or as a business executive car.
With the GLA being released only in 2016 it is one of the more modern cars out there kitted out with the latest technology both inside and out.
Engines and trims
The GLA class comes with a small selection of engines with the 1.6L 156 bhp turbo charged 200 engine and the 2.0L 211 bhp turbo 250 (4matic) engine for petrol and 2.1L 136 bhp 200d engine and 2.0L 177 bhp 220d (4matic) engine for the diesels. These are the most popular engines in any Mercedes line up so it makes sense. 4matic four wheel drive is available as well the GLA45 performance edition.
