Pod Point is one of UK's leading providers of electric vehicle charging. Since forming in 2009, we have manufactured and sold over 137,000 charging points** across the UK. We've also developed an extensive public network connecting EV drivers with 6,200+ charging bays** at locations including Tesco, Lidl and Center Parcs.
We install smart home charging points for customers of major automotive brands including Audi, Nissan, Volkswagen and Hyundai while our Workplace and Fleet customers include countless high profile companies like Skanska, Mitie and Pepsico. We also work with top property developers and managers like Barratt Homes, Savills and Bellway to wire up their developments.
Through our network of home, workplace and public charging points we have powered over 593 million miles* of electric driving.
When looking for a home charging point, there are 3 options to consider - 3.6kW, 7kW or 22kW power rating.
Also, you have to think about how you will connect your vehicle to the charging point?
You normally have 2 options when charging your vehicle, Universal or Tethered. Tethered has the cable built in to the charging point.
The quickest charging point, for standard home charging is the 7kW option
By using a charging point, time required to charge your vehicle can be up to 10x faster than a standard 3 pin plug.
Please note: 22kW home chargers require a three-phase household electrical supply.
The primary job of EV charging is to charge the battery of an electric vehicle enabling it to keep on moving. Due to its sustainability and benefit to the earth, as an EV owner you will be rewarded for making the transition from fossil fuel to electric.

All Car Leasing, in conjunction with Pod Point, have partnered with a northern charity who are delivering a green recovery, tackling climate change by planting trees, restoring and creating woodland for the people of the North.
For each charger installed by Pod Point, we will donate 3 trees to be planted to in and around the North or England.

In most cases, EV owners won't be required to get planning permission for them to install EV charge points in their properties. Permitted developments are those that have been approved by local governments. EV owners are accountable for ensuring they have obtained all the appropriate permits.
Our partner PodPoint's chargers are compatible with all plug in vehicle brands.

OZEV (Office for Zero Emission Vehicles) was recently renamed form the OLEV (Office for Low Emission Vehicles)
OZEV were created to administer, on behalf of he British government, providing funding to place the UK at the forefront of Electric Vehicle development, manufacture and use. This will contribute to economic growth and will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution on our roads.
The OZEV grant is designed to assist drivers to purchase Electric Vehicles by providing a monetary amount to reduce the purchase price of a qualifying vehicle.
This reduction is then passed over to the leasing company to reduce the monthly rental for business and personal car leasing agreements.
