New Cars of 2017
There are hundreds of new types of cars released for personal leasing and business leasing every year whether its an upgrade on an existing model or a completely new one, there is so much going on that it's hard to know what's what. That's why we've put together this handy guide to a few of the most exciting new cars of 2017.
Hyundai i30N
Starting off this guide is a car that is neither a supercar, a modest hatch, or an EV. It's designed to be a WRC winning car, but if you could drive one into town you'd get some serious notice. It's the Hyundai i30N. Due to be released in November, the i30N is the range-topping version of the i30 hatchback which is also due out this summer and has 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol capable of producing 260bhp. It has been developed at Hyundai's centre at the Nurburgring, so if anything it will have been put through its paces. But doesn't it look awesome? And the paint job is mega too. This time last year everyone was getting excited about the new Jaguar F-Pace SUV and how good it was.
Jaguar i-Pace Concept 2017
This year we are expecting something very different, but something made with the same care, attention, and engineered to compete with the very impressive Tesla Model X. Yeah, you guessed it, it's the Jaguar i-Pace Concept. The lithium-ion 9okWh battery pack will give it 400hp and instant 700Nm of torque enabling it to go from standstill to 60mph in 4 seconds flat. Inside is expected to contain everything a modern-day Jag has - sleek, contemporary lines, a vast amount of technology to enhance comfort & driving experience and it will be beautifully made. For us, this car will be a total game-changer for the industry as Jaguar seems like they're setting the bar high with the I-Pace in terms of what you can expect from a fully electric car.
Ford Fiesta MK 7
This September we'll be seeing a whole new version of the most popular car to buy in 2016, by a huge margin. The all-new Ford Fiesta has got a new look, new engines, new interiors, and 4 new choices of body style including a crossover to suit a wider target audience and get its foot in the door with the booming crossover market. The new car, however, although immediately looks like a Fiesta, will be 71mm wider and 12mm longer than the outgoing car and with a more upmarket interior, which is much needed to continue the car's success story in the future. Competition is really hotting up in the supermini sector too, with a new Volkswagen Polo coming next year and the new Nissan Micra and Citroen C3 already on sale, the Fiesta needs to arrive and hit the ground running.
New Exotics for 2017
The upgraded Aston Martin Vanquish S is due out this month. This is the sort of car we really get excited about because Astons just get better and better in looks and capability. You can't argue that this latest model is one of the prettiest, yet most ferocious-looking cars you can buy. The new Vanquish S and its naturally aspirated straight-six will get 27hp more than the outgoing car, bringing it up to a rather nice 595bhp, and coupled with its 465lb. ft. of torque means it will top out at 201mph and go from 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds. Phew. The price tag? Well, it's not millions, you can actually get one for a rather modest price - a touch under £200,000. Worth it? Definitely.
New Land Rover Discovery
Finally then is probably the most exciting new car of this year for most of the UK as it has been a British staple since the mid-70s and it actually created the motto of "go anywhere, do anything". It's the all-new Land Rover Discovery. Now in its 6th generation, the latest model has been designed around Jaguar-Land Rovers new MBQ platform, which is made out of all-new, lighter materials, helping the new car be more economical and lighter than its predecessor, but retaining the same amount of power. Its exterior looks are very different from the old Discovery 4, and we think it's a marmite situation. Some of us love it and some of us hate it. To be honest it isn't quite as striking as its older brother but it is a very imposing looking vehicle, and it can still go anywhere and do anything according to Land Rover.
