Car leasing doesn’t have to be completed, with just a few documents and details, you can begin the process of leasing a car. To ensure you have everything you need to complete the signing of a car leasing contract, our latest blog article covers all the essential documents for both business and personal car leasing. So, you can be sure your leasing contract can go ahead without any hiccups or delays.
Minimum details required for a personal car leasing contract
All we ask for from those wanting to sign a personal lease contract is proof of address, such as a recent utility bill and a copy of your driver’s licence. This will be the very basic information we require, however other details may be requested, depending on each individual’s circumstances.
To ensure that all leasing contracts processed by All Car Leasing can be done as quickly as possible, we always ask that you provide these documents ahead of time. This way we can confirm your details and begin the process of your application as soon as possible.
Do you need a good credit score to lease a car?
As part of our responsibility as a lender, we have to conduct a credit check on all applicants for both business and personal car leasing contracts. The partnership we have with Experian and Risk Disk gives applicants access to a free credit report, allowing you to establish whether leasing is the right option for you. Ensuring a proper credit check is completed before signing protects all involved parties, including All Car Leasing, the lender, and you, the applicant.
It is possible that you can be declined for financing due to your credit history, so it is important to check your credit score before applying for a car leasing contract. Being able to cover the monthly payments is incredibly important. Having a bad credit score indicates that financing may not be the right choice for you in your current financial situation. However, this doesn’t mean that you will always be declined in the future.
Documents required for a business car lease
For business car leasing, there are a few more documents that we require. Since we need to see that you run a legitimate business, we ask to see the following documents:
- Details of your business, such as the name, address and registration number.
- Bank details, including 3 months recent bank statements.
- A copy of the Directors driving licence or company accountant's details (for higher-value vehicles).
In order to lease a car under a business leasing contract, your company must qualify as:
- A public limited company (PLC)
- A Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)
- In a partnership
- A local authority
- A limited company
- A self-employed sole trader
- A charity
- A VAT registered business
- An embassy
